About

I am a post-doc at Forschungszentrum Jülich.
My research topic is Pedestrian Dynamics, focusing on the development of mathematical models to describe the motion of pedestrians.

In November 2008 I completed my studies at Hamburg University of Technology. The subject of my Diploma Thesis was titled: "Ordinary Differential Equations to Describe Pedestrian Dynamics" (German).

Actually, I am involved in two projects concerning Pedestrian Dynamics: The Hermes project and Open Ped Sim.

Since last semester I held the lecture "Informatics for engineers" at the department Computer Simulation for Fire Safety and Pedestrian Traffic in the University of Wuppertal.

This personal and (hopefully) informative website is dedicated to scientific research on Pedestrian Dynamics and may indicate some useful links/tutorials, however  without any responsibility  for the contents or reliability of linked websites.
